Benidorm Facebook group rallies round scared Briton who’s hubby collapsed A DAY into holiday

A Norfolk woman was left scared and helpless after her husband suddenly collapsed just one day into their sunny break – before a Benidorm Facebook group stepped in to help.
Sarah Welsh, 42, watched in shock as husband Jon, 52, turned ‘blue’ and was rushed from their Miramar hotel by ambulance to Marina Baixa hospital in Villajoyosa.
But the nightmare continued as Jon was kept in overnight, suffering a haematoma, and on Thursday ‘strict’ visiting protocol saw Sarah sat outside the hospital and not knowing where to turn.
“My husband was admitted to hospital yesterday, they keeping him in. I’m at the hospital now feeling scared and sat outside – some advice would be appreciated,” Sarah posted on the Benidorm Facebook group.
Within MINUTES, well-wishers came to Sarah’s aid, advising her about visiting times, and one transfer company even stepping in to taxi Sarah home, soon miraculously followed by husband Jon.
“We arrived in Benidorm Tuesday daytime, everything was OK,” Sarah told Benidorm Reviews, now enjoying her Thursday night over a meal with her husband.
“Wednesday morning Jon was stood just getting clothes out of the wardrobe, when I heard an awful noise as he had collapsed.
“He was turning blue. I got him into recovery position, went to get an ambulance and got help from the two superb staff at Benimar apartments.
“The ambulance took us to Hospital Marina Baixa, where he received excellent treatment.
“Today I came to visit and after putting a message on the site, Alicante Transfers offered to taxi me back to apartment and back to the hospital this evening.
“Jon then had a second scan and was told the heamatoma had reduced in size so he could come out.
“Transfer Manager Rafa picked Jon up from the hospital and brought him back to me at the apartment.
“What a wonderful gesture from a wonderful company.”
